Old Res Gourmet Rules
• All diners must RSVP by the indicated date. This is usually 1-2 days before the planning committee meeting. Any late responders will be placed on a "waiting list.”
Please do NOT contact hosts directly: contact the RSVP contact for the dinner.
• Recipes will be EMAILED to all gourmet members 1-2 weeks prior to the scheduled date. • Each household is expected to host at some time during the year (or 2 yrs)
• The host(ess) should call his/her guests 2-3 days before the dinner to see if there are any questions or requirements.
• Guests are responsible for bringing their own heating/serving dish and/or anything else that is involved with the preparation of the meal.
• The recipes must be followed with no NO SHORTCUTS OR SUBSTITUTIONS. If you would like to share a special ingredient, feel free to call someone making the same dish. If you have a question, call a member of the committee.
• Any scheduled guest who cannot attend a dinner should give as much notice as possible. If a substitute cannot be found, or alternate arrangements cannot be made, you are responsible for your assigned portion of the meal and your proportionate cost.
• Only larger items in a recipe are charged (not salt, 1 egg, etc) • Hosts are responsible for averaging the costs. Hosts usually provide coffee, tea, and water.
• Wine will be selected and purchased by the committee and costs shared by the guests.
• Excess dues remaining at the end of the year will help defray the cost of the final Gourmet Picnic in June. |
